38 Argyle St, Birkenhead CH41 6AF, UK – 0151 666 1779

I like coming here every couple of months as we like to support the smaller non chain places so we will favour this over coming to Liverpool for our Thai food fix. The people are so warm and welcoming and we love our usual dishes but have not been disappointed with trying new things.

Excellent food. Excellent Service. Highly recommended

Fusion Bar & Grill

28 Upton Rd, Birkenhead CH41 0DF, UK – 0151 652 0280

Always enjoy going here food beautiful and staff always so lovely. Excellent customer service.

Lovely time, Great family meal, really recommend - Amazing conversion and use of the old bank safe.

265/267 Wallasey Village, Wallasey CH45 3LR, UK – 0151 792 5358

The food is consistently good, the charcoal grilled stuff especially. The restaurant itself is very poorly organised. They only accept cash but never have change in the till. Meals always take longer to arrive than they should (or that the staff estimate - if they say 30 mins it will be 45). Still, the food is good enough that it's worth it.

Absolutely top quality food, drinks and lovely and highly professional staff. Highly recommended xxx

Best Reviewed Indian Restaurants and Takeaways in St Josephs R C Aided Primary School or in Wallasey area

Sanskruti Restaurant

Bixteth St, Liverpool L3 9LP, UK – 0151 236 8886

Where do I start? This place was probably the best Indian my girlfriend and I have ever tried. I’m not joking guys. If you’re vegan, and love curry then you have to visit this place. Even if you’re not vegan you should try this place. The Portions are great, food quality is amazing and I would highly recommend the Jack Fruit Curry! Thanks for a lovely evening!

Celebrated a birthday here tonight with friends. The food was delicious. The service was superb. The staff helped us choose the amount of sundries we would need. Although it still ended up being far too much, they made helpful doggy bags that were put to much good use the next day as a tasty lunch. Would go again, may become our "go to" Indian restaurant. P.S. I'm a meat eater and I didn't miss the meat one bit!!

MAK Syed Indian Restaurant

285 Wallasey Village, Wallasey CH45 3HA, UK – 0151 637 1371

Excellent food servrd by friendly and efficient staff.

lovely food lovely staff

Tandoori Mahal Restaurant

24-26 King St, Wallasey CH44 8AU, UK – 0151 639 5948

This is a fantastic family run restaurant, which has served us many times, both eating in and with their home delivery. The food is simply delicious, and we've tried lots of it... we absolutely love it... and I have to say the best onion bhaji's I've ever tasted, as well as their peshwari naan - YUM. The restaurant itself is clean and fresh, and modern... very light and airy too. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who have all and always delivered a fantastic service. You can take your own wine too if you prefer, but all drinks are reasonably priced. The set menus are amazing value too... and if there's anything you don't fancy, the staff will always consider one or two swapping of the dishes. Can't rate the Tandoori Mahal high enough... superb!

Great Asian food menu ..inexpensive .....very friendly staff can take your own drink all though there is a licensed bar

Best Reviewed Italian Pasta and Pizza Restaurants

Gusto Restaurant and Bar

Edward Pavillion, Albert Dock, Liverpool L3 4AF, UK – 0151 708 6969

First visit to a Gusto, would rate it as fair. This particular restaurant is in a fantastic location, we were able to sit outside and enjoy the historic and funky surroundings of Albert Dock! Between us we had a pasta and pizza dish - the menu was fairly standard for an Italian chain, think ASK Italian and Pizza Express. The food was good quality with portions to fill you up. The waitress was very friendly and professional, helping us move tables when the night turned chilly. Made for a lovely evening and would be happy to return again in the future.

Here in Liverpool for a conference during the week. The only reason I honestly tried here is because it was the only place still within walking distance from the hotel to be serving food after 10pm. The staff were extremely polite and accommodating and the food was equally spectacular; infact one of the best fillet steaks I’ve perhaps ever had! For 3 and a half courses (deep fried ravioli for the picky-bits, calamari starter, Fillet steak main, brownie dessert) for £45, Gusto would be the first restaurant I’d return to, should I ever be blessed to be in Liverpool again. 5*’s all round!

Trattoria 51

25-31 Old Hall St, Liverpool L3 9BS, UK – 0151 236 4739

Loved this place. Food was gorgeous. Staff very attentive. Very busy so that's an indicator how good this restaurant is. Reasonable prices too. Will definitely go again!

Great food and a super welcoming team. Love coming here. My folks love it too. Fresh pasta is amazing. Easily one of the best in Liverpool, if not the northwest.

Olive Restaurant and Bar

25-27 Castle St, Liverpool L2 4TA, UK – 0151 227 2303

We picked Olive Restaurant and Bar more or less at random as we were only staying in Liverpool for a couple of nights, and I'm very glad that we did. The food was excellent and the wine was delicious. The open kitchen means that you can watch the chefs at work which is always entertaining and the service was quick but unobtrusive. The restaurant is located in the basement of an imposing building on Castle Street. You could miss it. I suggest you don't.

I love this place, I regularly go with family and friends or fir a romantic meal with the hubby. The staff are all lovely, so helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Food is fab, nice portion sizes and really tasty, I've never had a bad experience in this restaurant. Customer service is brilliant, I would highly recommend xxx

The Vincent Café and Cocktail Bar

Walker House, Exchange Flags, Liverpool L2 3YL, UK – 0151 236 1331

Favourite restaurant for sushi, great selection and it tastes amazing every time. The menu has a wide variety to choose from and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend and great value for money.

Amazing dinner atmosphere and dinner exceptionally tasty. Great sevice and friendly staff. Monkfish amazing....

City Wine Bar + Kitchen

City Buildings, 21-23 Old Hall St, Liverpool L3 9BS, UK – 0151 227 5533

A busy and trendy place to go after work. Much quieter later on. Food is superb. Colleagues had the Chicken burger and Cheeseburger while I had Steak Frites with garlic fries and peppercorn sauce which was delicious. Everyone was delighted with their main courses. They came well presented and were reasonably priced. Ask about the bacon jam - it's amazing!

City Wine Bar is a great place to go whether you are looking for a bite to eat or simply a quick drink in a cool bar after work. They have an amazing selection of drinks and even better food, and Jordan and the rest of the staff are always a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend to anyone locally-based or visiting the city.

All Bar One Liverpool

One Derby Square, James St, Liverpool L2 7NU, UK – 0151 227 3357

Popular bar for Friday early evening. Nice vibe. Plenty of outdoor seating. My strawberry daiquiri though was small for the price paid and compared to other bars in Liverpool. Hence the 3 star rating.

Everything you’d expect from an All Bar One in terms of drinks and food choices. This one is Derby Square which has a quite impressive Queen Victoria memorial on it. There’s about a dozen outside tables, though North facing so not a sunny spot. Service all fine. Sharing platter all tasty.

Wallasey Chinese Restaurants

Tai Pan

Atlantic Business Park, Great Howard St, Liverpool L5 9TZ, UK – 0151 207 3888

Staff in the supermarket seemed very pleasant and were happy to help. The owner or manager even had time to stop and chat off his own back. Felt like a valued customer

Great place for a bite to eat for lunch more than enough for two people at a reasonable price

New Ying King

43 Seaview Rd, Wallasey CH45 4QN, UK – 0151 630 2255

Love this place, food is lovely and always found staff polite and helpful, well worth the money and all you can eat served fresh to your table is just a bonus!!

lovely food. the all you can eat menu is a bit limited on the mains, but there's still plenty of choice. The portions are small, which helps reduce waste. but you can always order another portion. duck is part of the courses, but prawn crackers aren't . The three of us really enjoyed our food and looking forward to going back again soon

Sun Ying

22-24 Grange Rd W, Birkenhead CH41 4DA, UK – 0151 650 0800

Really nice all-you-can-eat restaurant located just outside the centre of town. Staff are friendly, and food is always varied and plentiful - they also change regularly, so you get a good mix. Great prices, with drinks also being inexpensive. If you have a birthday or some other celebration, staff will also arrange a small treat if you let them know in advance :)

Lots of variety in the all you can eat. Food hot, replenished regularly, delicious. Bonus on having gateaux and sponge cakes as well as the usual dessert goodies. Fabulously they have a machine to squish your own twirl ice cream like an ice cream van complete with selection of juices. Would recommend

Wallasey Vegetarian or Vegan Restaurants

White Wolf Yoga & Kitchen

14 Cook St, Liverpool L2 9QU, UK – 0151 345 6023

A stunning haven in the city centre. White Wolf is a calming and spiritual space that quickly became my favourite place in the city after my first visit. Louise and Beccy are passionate, knowledgeable and friendly. Classes and unique workshops are welcoming - with no pressure to ever exceed your own comfort. The range of food, raw vegan treats and drinks in the kitchen is incredible too, perfect for unwinding after a class, or just escaping the noise of the city. Highly recommend this gorgeous place!

Fantastic hidden little gem in the city. Great place to relax, food is delicious. Staff are helpful and friendly. Love this place, right atmosphere to get away from all the hustle and bustle of town for an hour or 2.

Mowgli Street Food

3 Water St, Liverpool L2 0RD, UK – 0151 236 6366

Lovely restaurant - a big airy room with really great decor. The food is phenomenal, so many lovely flavours, each dish has a distinctive flavour, clearly the kitchen staff have real skill in preparing this style of food. Portions are generous, and the style of menu lends itself to sharing, so it is a convivial experience. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the service is excellent. Highly recommended!

Indian restaurant situated in the centre of the city. Original furniture and decoration. Small plates to share, a little bit expensive but really tasty. Baby-friendly. Nice desserts. Professional and friendly staff. As a constructive critic I would say that there is not enough space between tables.

Brasco Lounge

27a Buildings, Mann Island Buildings, Liverpool, Liverpool Waterfront L3 1BP, UK – 0151 236 5085

Called back here 4 times! Food great - and fresh. Accommodate any dietary needs without a fuss. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free. Staff really friendly and helpful. Great position by the docks. Sit out or eat in.

Dog friendly restaurant that has games you can borrow, unfortunately some of the pieces are missing from some of the games. The menu has a number of burgers, the ones we tried were quite good. They also had "Tapas" which were good but not traditional. The food arrived quickly and wasn't overly expensive.

The Liverpool Pub

14 James St, Liverpool L2 7PQ, UK – 0151 236 1650

had a brill evening in here. Decided to eat in here rather than pay hotel prices. So glad we did. The food was cooked to perfection and nicely priced. Good selection of drinks at the bar with friendly barman. necked a couple of double gin and tonics. Needless to say after that was a bit tipsy. Good job hotel was only a couple of doors down the road! Good down to earth pub. Would visit again.

Just had a lovely meal... salt & pepper chicken wrap salad & fries... it was lovely salad freshest.iv had in a long time esp in a pub.. price is right too..... highly recommended

Cavern Pub

10 Mathew St, Liverpool L2 6RE, UK – 0151 236 9091

If you are a fan of the Beatles, this is the place to go for memorabilia and atmosphere. Great to be able to walk around and look at all the items on display. Also a very good place to take the weight off and enjoy a drink with some great music. The day I was there, a very good singer was playing some really good old classics. As a non Beatles fan, I loved it

One of my favourite places to drink anywhere... and really a must do for every visit to Liverpool! I really could spend forever here... the music is always fantastic and the atmosphere second to none.... the beer's not the cheapest but this is the Cavern!!! The history and happiness in this place is everywhere... Imagine there's no heaven... well, this is pretty close! 😀
